Our last island was Labadee, Haiti. Royal Caribean leases the tip of the Island a redid it just for them. They had a water park and a 40 feet high slide. When we were done on the beach we walked up to the shopping area. That was an experience to never forget. Worse than Mexico. EVERYONE wants to sell you something. They are like grabbing you to come see their stuff. It was crazy. It scared Kalli half to death.

Mortenson visit
When we got to Florida we enjoyed the day with the Mortensons (friends that moved from Washington to Florida). We had a great time catching up for the day. We spent time at Disney World Main Street (because of the lack of time). We really had a great time seeing them. They have it lucky in my opinion (they think 65 degrees is COLD).

Lake Powell 2008
In September we packed up and headed for Lake Powel. We went with Brad's family and rented a houseboat. It was so much fun. One our most favorite places in the world to go. Aimee got to ride the jet ski off the trailor and ride and ride and ride until we were all packed into the houseboat and on our way. She had a blast and even out grew her fear she had for jet skis! We ended up staying up Iceburg canyon and as you can see, it was beautiful!!

Sites and Brayden driving
The sites were just beautiful. Just as I remember. Truly miraculous what weather can do. Brayden even got to drive the boat. This is exactly like the picture of him at 2 driving our old boat. He still remembers that too!! He is a boating king. He really needs to live in a state with all four seasons. Well, atleast winter and summer.
Great accomplishments
There were a few first for our kids. Bradyen swam an incredible distance. See the boat on the other side of the canyon? That is where he swam from to the boat. I kept asking him if he wanted Grandpa to pick him up with the jet-ski, but he kept saying, "Nope, I want to make this accomplishment". It was really cool to see him take such pride in it. This was right after they had all been over to the cliffs and had jumped off cliffs probably 20 ft high. It was really scarey to watch.
Aimee caught her first fish....although it went back, it was still very exciting for her.
Kalli learned to drive the jet-ski (with mom or dad with her of course). She was really good at it. The last day she was over-confident and did a turn and didn't stop turning. She ejected herself, mom, and Brayden. The thing flipped totally over. It scared her to death!! She wouldn't drive again. We did make her get back on though, just to let her know it was ok. We didn't want her to hate jet-skis for the rest of her life.
Personal Cove/Lake Powell
We had the best secluded canyon. This shows the canyon and the beach that we were so lucky to find. The kids had a great time making their sand falls and running into the water to cool off. We slept on top of the house boat each night and enjoyed the beauty of thousands of stars. It was so fun....I never wanted to go to sleep. The picture of Kalli looking over the boat is actually us pulling out on our last day. We were so sad to leave. It was so much fun.
